Today, the Institute of Mobility and Transport (IMT) inaugurated a new online service enabling citizens to obtain a driving license certificate.
To utilize this service, drivers simply require their citizen card or digital mobile key to access the 'My Driving License' portal. Upon registration, users receive a 10% discount on the applicable fee, effectively reducing the expenses associated with visiting the IMT's physical service centers.
The certificate, featuring an updated 'layout', can be issued in either Portuguese or English and remains valid for six months. Its authenticity can be confirmed by scanning the QR CODE or inputting the verification code.
Approximately 3,000 driving license certificates are requested from the IMT annually, with the majority intended for submission to analogous foreign entities as part of the license exchange process in other countries.
